The hopes of Copenhagen (Hopenhagen) have not been approved since the UN Framework Convention of Climate Change failed to forge an international agreement. The hopes back then had been high. Barack Obama seemed to be the perfect partner to negotiate. However the country ended up to partner Brazil, South Africa, India and China with a non-binding deal. The so called “Copenhagen Accord” agreed upon an international investment of $100 billion per year by 2020 to support countries to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Later in Doha international leader agreed upon pushing forward the deadline to 2015.
