7 reasons why a true American Christian cannot vote for him
Pope Francis pointed his holy finger into the open wound of the Trump campaign. He suggested that Donald Trump is not a Christian, saying at the Mexican-US border: “A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not of building bridges, is not Christian. This is not the gospel.”
Now Gradye Parsons, the most senior elected official of the Presbyterian Church (USA) joined the leader of the Catholic church. “Donald Trump’s views are not in keeping with the policies adopted by our church by deliberative process.” Parsons said to The Guardian that the Presbyterian church had voted several times since the 1990s in its national general assemblies in favor of comprehensive immigration reform that would grant a route to legal status for the 11 million undocumented people currently living in the US.
Trump received his ecclesiastical confirmation at the First Presbyterian Church in Jamaica, Queens, and has always self-identified as a Presbyterian. He says he now worships at the Marble Collegiate Church in Manhattan, part of the Reformed Church in the American denomination.
The Huffington Post adds at the end of each article about him an “Editor’s note: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.”
Here are 7 reasons why Donald Trump is the Anti-Christ and true American Christian cannot vote for him:
1. Trump does not care take about the poor people- like Jesus did and any true Christian should
When you read the statements of Donald Trump about poor people and immigrants, there is no mercy, no emotional empathy, no love. He is ice-cold about them. He is the opposite of Mother Theresa or Pope John Paul II or what is written in the Holy Bible about Jesus.
2. Trump does not see the human being as the center of his policy
The bible does not differentiate if you are Chinese, Mexican or American. But for Trump Americans are above any other nation and Mexicans or Muslims are seen as second class people.
3. Trump does not love his neighbor like himself
For sure this sentence from the bible is alien to Donald Trump. The Mexican or Muslims are not his friends, but dangerous objects. The parents of Jesus had to flee the country before he was born. In Trump’s America, Mary and Joseph would have ended at the new Trump-wall or kicked back to Palestine as foreigners.
4. Trump promotes discrimination and hate towards other religions
With his aggressive ban on Muslims wanting to come to America, he promotes discrimination and hate towards other religions. Thus he promotes a clash between Islam and Christianity, which all religious leaders of the churches want to avoid. He at the same time exposes Christians in the Muslim world to tit-for-tat revenge and gives ISIS a propaganda tool.
5. Trump prays to the Golden Calf of Money. He is intoxicated by hedonism and narcissism
His lifestyle is not moderate like that of Jesus or priests today, but dominated by a dance around the golden calf. This extreme fixation on money is the opposite of the way of life of a true Christian. In his Christmas mess in Rome Pope Francis demanded all people, including Trump: “Fill your life with empathy, compassion, mercy!” He criticized a society “intoxicated by consumerism, hedonism, wealth, extravagance and narcissism.“
6. Trump is not a Christian reconciliator, like Jesus, but a hate-monger
Pope Francis noted that a Christian must build bridges, wherever. He must promote peace and love by reconciliation, not by putting salt into the wounds of mankind or presenting hate-speeches.
7. Trump is an aggressive cynic with un-Christian black-and-white-thinking
Trump twittered ” The new Pope is a humble man, very much like me, which probably explains why I like him so much!” What an arrogance, ignorance by Pope Trump.
After the Pope had criticized his idea of a wall with Mexico, he re-twittered several pictures of the wall around the Vatican with demands “Tear down that wall”. In his simple minded way, he forgot those walls where not build by Pope Francis, but hundreds of years ago, are under historical protection, needed like the safety of the White House. The Pope did not mean that no border control is needed, but that a human way how to treat the Mexicans and all immigrants with dignity is required and each politician must build bridge, not political walls between the people. Maybe to complicated for simple Trump.
This again shows Trump’s anti-Christian aggressive, cynic black-and-white-thinking.
With these seven positions Donald Trump is the Anti-Christ in the Republican nomination.
A true American Christian cannot support or vote for him or he supports his anti-Christian policy contrary to the teaching of Jesus Christ.
