Jeb Bush's son gets behind Trump while Former CIA director Michael Morell supports Hillary

- George HW Bush, George W Bush, and Jeb Bush all refuse to support their party’s nominee for president in the US election. But Jeb Bush’s son, George P. Bush, is calling for Republicans to get behind Trump.
- Trump calls out the media for distorting things and being “dishonest.” This is not surprising as he has, in the past, accused reporters of being hostile if they say things he doesn’t like.

- The Trump candidacy in the US election is a “real opportunity” for the American Nazi Party according to their leader, Rocky Suhayda, on his radio show.
- The American Psychiatric Association says it’s unethical to call Trump mentally ill. The APA’s Goldwater Rule, named for Barry Goldwater after his campaign for president where critics called him “nuts,” prohibits psychoanalysis of public figures.

- Trump suggests Clinton is unfit for the presidency. He has called her “unbalanced” and a “pathological” liar. And now he says she “She took a short-circuit in the brain. She’s got problems,” and “She’s really pretty close to unhinged.”
- Trump is slipping in the polls, as more Republicans are uncomfortable with their candidate. 57% of Democrats, and only 41% of Republicans are enthusiastic about voting for a new president.

Despite claiming to be against Wall Street influence in politics, his team is made up of almost exclusively people with finance or practical business backgrounds–rather than academics or people from think tanks which most candidates would surround themselves with.
- Former CIA director Michael Morell says he trusts Hillary, and Trump is a threat to national security and an “unwitting agent” for Russia.

- Trump falls far behind Hillary in the polls, between 9 and 15 points behind. The US election is shifting toward Clinton.
- Trump’s VP Mike Pence endorses Paul Ryan despite Trump’s awkward relationship with him. Ryan has multiple times spoken out against Trump’s inappropriate statements and seems to support his candidacy only for political reasons.
- Melania’s naked photos are released by the New York Post.
- Trump’s fan base contributes $82M in July, almost matching Clinton’s $90M.
