Why not focus on ISIS and blood-oil?
In the border region Hatay between Syria and Turkey, the grass is green and the sheep herds are plentiful. Two Syrian shepherds now made a mistake that would cost them their livestock.
When they accidentally crossed over the Turkish- Syrian border, they were stopped by Turkish military who took away the animals. Shots were fired in warning as the border patrol spotted and stopped the herd.
A Turkish court decided, that the herd now belongs to Turkey. It appears as if the government in Istanbul is taking very seriously its pledge to secure the 800 kilometer border it shares with Syria from any and all intruders.
Maybe Turkey should concentrate more on the trucks carrying ISIS oil that have been reported to be crossing the border undisturbed.
