There's another new hire at 10 Downing Street
The Treasury has hired a new cat! All of the mice in Philip Hammond’s department will now be taken care of by Gladstone.
-
The newly appointed Gladstone is an 18 month old black shorthair with “catitude.”
-
The other cats on Downing Street include the famous Larry, whose official title is Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office, and Palmerston the Foreign Office cat. They have been scuffling lately, and there is a battle for territory between them. Adding a new cat to the mix could cause some drama.
-
Like the other cats on Downing Street, Gladstone was a stray adopted from the Battersea Cats and Dogs Home.
