More threats from North Korea after UN says country should be tried

Kim Jong-un, seen in this picture observing a missile test, is making threats again. North Koreas baby faced dictator has claimed that the country is now in possession of a hydrogen bomb. If this were true it would mean a big leap in the rouge state’s nuclear program.

Kim claimed that North Korea was now

“a powerful nuclear weapons state ready to detonate self-reliant A-bomb and H-bomb to reliably defend its sovereignty and the dignity of the nation”

So far experts are skeptical. We have known for quite some time that the regime was trying to accomplish developing an H-bomb, but most analysts believe that Pyongyang doesn’t yet have the capability to produce such a weapon.

A hydrogen, or thermonuclear, bomb can be hundreds of times more powerful than an atomic bomb.

The announcement came right after a  UN human rights official said at a Security Council meeting that North Korea should be dragged in front of the International Criminal Court.

Human rights abuses happen daily in North Koreas oppressive regime, and the country frequently tries to play the nuclear card to avoid tougher sanctions.

However, none of this grandstanding would be possible without the tacit support from China. It’s about time Beijing dropped this mad little boy.
