Ernest Moniz

Ernest Jeffrey Moniz serves as the U.S. Secreatry of Energy since May 2013. He has served as the Associate Director for Science in the Office of Science and Technology Policy in the Executive Office of the President (1995 to 1997) and as Under Secretary of Energy from 1997 to 2001. Before Moniz worked at MIT as Cecil and Ida Green Professor of Physics, Director of the Energy Initiative, and as the Director of the Laboratory for Energy and the Environment.
